settled long ago in the Central Black Hills of South Dakota.
Back then, gold was the color of every day.
These days, to Smiling Bear anyway,
wild raspberries are precious rubies to be sought.
These delicious wild Jams and Jellies,
put together with the addition of organic sugar
and/or other fine ingredients,
are an integral part of the Bed and Breakfast wakeup fare.
And they are produced here at home . . .
that is to say, they are homemade right here,
near where the fruit grows
all on its own with the blessing of God
. . . in the beautiful Black Hills National Forest.
